Digital application

If you have not already, familiarise yourself with the identity guidelines, which is also applicable to all digital surfaces. It should give you a good overview of how to use our visual identity. Then read on to learn how to present our brand in a professional and consistent manner in digital communication.
Updated

Web

Our new website has been updated to comply with our visual identity guidelines. This means that the typefaces are now Tiempos and Aktiv Grotesk arranged according to our typographic hierarchy, and the blue colour has been updated to the new Wilhelmsen blue.

Secondary Domains

Only our main website, wilhelmsen.com is required to use the Tiempos and Aktiv Grotesk typefaces. Our other domains, like [relevant link] or [relevant link] may use fallback typography, however the typographic hierarchy must be in line with our typography guidelines. (See Typography in the Core Elements chapter for more information). Headlines, buttons, links, etc should be Wilhelmsen blue, like on wilhelmsen.com.

Intranet

The current intranet is not in accordance with our current brand guidelines. A future version of the intranet will be updated to match wilhelmsen.com.

Social Media

Anything other than external links and content, meaning anything we produce ourselves for publication on social media must be in accordance with our visual identity guidelines.

The blue Wilhelmsen flag on a white background should be used as the profile picture across all social media channels. Make sure you are using the latest version of the flag with the correct Wilhelmsen blue colour. The company name should be written in plain text, like so:

Wilhelmsen (or Wilhelmsen group)
Wilhelmsen Ships Service
Wilhemsen Ship Management

Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn support header/banner images. These must always be of good quality and in accordance with our photographic style. Only use landscape oriented (horizontal) images that fit naturally within the panoramic format of these headers without cropping out too much of the main subject.

Mobile and Handheld Apps

All mobile and handheld apps must adhere to the visual identity guidelines, including the use of colours and typography. Please note that a separate license might be needed to implement our brand typography in apps.

See Subsidiary Companies in the Core Elements chapter for placement of subsidiary company names on small surfaces like mobile screens.

Using icons to aid with navigation in apps is highly recommended. It is vital to be consistent with the use of icons across apps as it makes navigation more intuitive for both clients and employees who use more than one app. Please read about our Iconography under Illustrations in the Photo, Video and Illustration Style chapter for more information.
